WELCOME
Welcome to Upland AYSO and thank you for registering for our Fall 2023 Recreational Soccer Program.
The address for the  Cabrillo Park is: 1465 W. 11th Street, Upland CA 91786.
As an all-volunteer organization, AYSO relies on volunteers to fulfill the AYSO mission to keep soccer Fun, Fair, and Safe for all participants.
It is vital to the success of our Region that each parent be aware of this principle and be willing to volunteer their time for their children’s soccer experience.

PERSPECTIVE VOLUNTEERS
Our region is always looking for volunteers who are willing to coach. If you are thinking about coaching, please email [email protected].
Training courses for coaches and referees will be scheduled in August. Please keep an eye on our website calendar and our Facebook page as we will post confirmed courses and details there.
In order to register for courses, you will need to be registered as a volunteer on Blue Sombrero.

TEAM REQUIRMENTS
Teams are required to have TWO new referees in U8 and U10. We strongly encourage you to consider a referee course. Referees are always in demand and it is a great way to become better acquainted with the rules of the game. If you have questions about becoming a referee, please email the referee administrator. We sincerely thank you for volunteering your time and resources for the children in this program!

WHEN WILL YOU BE CONTACTED
Coaches will be begin reaching out to players in late August. If a coach has NOT contacted, you by 8/31/2025 please email [email protected]
There will be instances where coaches are late to sign up as a coach. In these unfortunate circumstances these coaches will be late to be certified. This would result in aren't being contacted later then we would like.
Please be patient and give the coaches the full 2 weeks before emailing. Please note that coaches will determine the days and time of your team's practice.
Practices are generally scheduled between Monday and Thursday, during the hours of 5:30 pm and 8:30 pm.

HOW AYSO WORKS ***** VERY IMPORTANT PLEASE READ*****

AYSO is an all volunteer organization. Every coach, referee, and board member volunteers their time to make every season happen for our players.
Without volunteers we cant have a season.
Every parent or guardian will be contacted regarding volunteering.
Below is the process to be expected for the season.

  1. Registration opens; Players register for the season. At this time we do not know how many teams we will have nor do we have coaches. Once players register commissioners start calling from the pool of registered players.
  2. Registration closes; The waitlist opens and based on the number of players registered; the amount of teams is determined.
  3. Parents and Guardians are contacted in search of coaches and referees, based on the number of teams we require. This process can take weeks. Commissioners have to keep calling until they get a volunteer coach for each team. Most of the time commissioners will call each player 4-10 times in order to secure a coach. This can greatly delay the certification process, especially as we get closer to the season.
  4. Volunteer, coaches, and referees take courses and get certified. These courses are classes and safety courses each volunteer must take to ensure the safety of our kids.
  5. Teams are formed and players are drafted once all coaches are certified.
  6. Parents are contacted by their coaches.

****There will be instances where coaches are not found below is the course of action we take.

Option one: Teams are "blind drafted" this is when a team is drafted with out a coach. Once the team is drafted commissioners will reach out to he team and set up a team meeting. generally a parents will step up to coach. however now they have to go through the certification process. this greatly delays the process and can result in the team missing the first week of practice. This is never our goal and we work very hard to find coaches and ensure every team gets to practice before the first game. Unfortunately since this is all volunteer that is not always the case.

Option two: If a coach is not found the team will be disbanded and refunds will be processed.

Please be advised; you will NOT be informed of practice schedules until after your children are drafted or placed on a team. THIS WILL BE AFTER THE DROP DATE. At this point refunds are not guaranteed.

REFUND POLICY
Should you require a refund you must request within 30 DAYS prior to the start of the season ****** August 13th 2025****. Email the registrar ([email protected]) with child's name, birth date & reason for refund request. Please note: the mandatory National AYSO fee of $25.00 and $2.75 processing fees are non-refundable.

Please be mindful that this is all volunteer and that brings about its own challenges. We thank you in advance for your patience and understanding.
